The Plateau state governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Jos continued with the hearing of the defense of Gov. Simon Lalong against the petition against his election.
Three out of the four witnesses called by the APC Governor told the Tribunal that Jeremiah Useni of the PDP won in their polling units with a wide margin.
Governor Lalong, who tendered another 43 documents through his Counsel, Lateef Fagbami SAN, also called one Ringpon Byetla from Langtang North, Dung Bitrus, from Barkin-ladi, and Lan Joseph Choji from Hiepang Ward to prove his claims of over voting in their respective Polling Units but instead, the three all testified in favour of the PDP candidate, saying that the PDP candidate.
The petitioners Jeremiah Useni and the PDP in their petitions also pleaded over voting as a ground, as they challenged the governorship election conducted by INEC that brought Governor Lalong and the All Progressives Congress, APC, to power in the state.
On certificate forgery of Governor Lalong, the witness, Luka Fwanyil, a former Attorney General in the State, said Lalong contested the election with a name Simon Bako Lalong and not Simon Sule Lalong as being claimed.
Fwanyil who identified forms EC8D, EC8E and Form CF001, said he was the returning officer of both Gov. Lalong and the APC in the governorship election and insisted that the poll was peaceful, free, fair and credible.
From the record of the Tribunal, Governor Lalong, has so for tendered 97 documents as exhibits.
